About Us

We are a loosely-knit group of riders that share a strong interest in motorcycling. The majority of members ride BMWs and live in the Capital Region of Southern Vancouver Island in British Columbia. We have regular monthly rides and social gatherings at a variety of eating establishments throughout the island.

The club celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2015 and looks forward to many more years of riding.

If you're a BMWRVI member, please log in to make the best use of the site. If you're not a member (yet!), please have a look around, and think about joining us! Enjoy the ride!

Origins

The inaugural meeting of the club was held on a stormy night in the late fall of 1990 at the Vancouver Island Safety Council. Despite the weather, about 30 people attended, bolstering everyone's feeling that a good thing was being created.

Where we meet

Since then, our membership has grown and our meeting place has changed several times.  Currently we convene at various locations for our monthly 9:30 am breakfast meeting the first weekend of each month, alternating between Saturday and Sunday

Join us!

The activitities of the club include a New Year's Day ride, an early Spring ride to The Brigantine Pub in Maple Bay, a Port Renfrew lunch ride, a Fall Poker Run and any other excuses for a ride that we come up with! You'll find more membership information and a form on our site.
